Plans for Motorway service area moved to Mitchelstown.

A company behind a recent planning application for a motorway services area near Cahir has moved its interest to north Cork.

Applegreen had been refused permission by South Tipp County Council for an 8 acre site at Cloughabreeda and Kedrah off the M8.

The company appealed the decision to An Bord Pleanala but recently withdrew their plans.

Now it's emerged that Applegreen has applied to Cork County Council for a similar development at Junction 13 near Brigown, Mitchelstown.
