Bus company at center of Ploughing match row fire back.

The bus company who was criticised for abandoning a group of Tipperary
students in New Ross, has spoken out against their behaviour.

PK Executive Travel was hired by a couple of students in Borrisokane,
to ferry a group to the Ploughing championships on Wednesday.

But parents took to the airways the next day after the group was abandoned
in New Ross with no way home.

But it has now transpired that some of the group had consumed a large amount of
alcohol onboard the bus and caused substantial damage.

One parent also said that each teenager was charged 20 euro a head,
but the company say the driver was only paid 9 euro a head.

PJ Keogh from PK Executive Travel, acknowledges that students should have
been told they would not be brought back, but he said their behaviour was
dangerous.

He told Tipp Today, that a huge amount of alcohol was brought on board, parts of seats were ripped out, some

urinated out the emergency door and the sky light was damaged after some of the group were throwing

cans and bottles from the bus on to the road.

He also said he was willing to meet with parents concerned, to show them the photographic evidence of all

damage that was caused.
