Independent TD Michael Lowry has sounded a warning for the many hundreds of farmers across Tipperary who have yet to submit their Single Farm Payment forms.
The deadline is this Thursday and according to estimates acquired by Deputy Lowry from the Department of Agriculture, as of the weekend, they were still awaiting the return of forms from almost 2,000 farmers from across the county.
He is urging the farming community to ensure that these vital forms are submitted by Thursday.
The Department will accept late forms up to the beginning of the second week of June, but any payments will be the subject of a financial penalty for each working day they are late.
