One of Nenagh’s most significant community facilities is getting a major injection of state funding.

The Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs Eamon O’Cuiv has announced that the town’s Arts Centre will receive almost €374,000 to help pay for its activities.

According to Minister O’Cuiv the money will provide opportunities for people from disadvantaged areas to take up employment in the service of their local community.

The funding from the Community Services Programme is available because of the Government’s commitment under the current Social Partnership Agreement to increase support for the community and voluntary sector.
