Despite the recent housing slump, one developer in Carrick on Suir appears to have confidence in the market.
Paul Gallagher is submitting additional information and seeking outline permission for a major scheme at Deerpark on the Dublin road in the town.
The proposed development for the 12 acre site now comprises of 85 houses, and a two-storey retail - commercial development.
The plans also incorporate council lands to the west of St. Johns Terrace as part of a public parkland area.
Access to the development would be from the Dublin road, adjacent to the existing ESB substation.
