All of the litter fines issued by Tipperary Town last year were paid.
During 2007 the local authority fined 11 people for breaching the town’s litter laws.
The figure was revealed as part of the answer to Fianna Fail Councillor Gerry Cronin’s recent call that the council get tougher when dealing with this issue.
He was also informed that South Tipperary County Council’s Environmental Enforcement Officer helps the Town Council’s own Litter Warden carry out his duties one day per week.
